Thanks to the church and Pastor Cameron's team for arranging the training course with World Outreach International. Through the facilitated learning and group discussions, we've learnt a lot more about and in greater depth the heart of world missions. These sessions have also been useful in stoking the flame within our spirit as we prepare for our respective trips. I learnt that if we are indeed a part of the Body of Christ, then when one member suffers, the others would too. So, if there are needs within the body of Christ, say in Indonesia, and the church worldwide (including Singapore) does little to provide the necessary support in meeting those needs, then we have failed to "share one another's burdens" and so fulfill the Father's mandate. Increasingly, I'm starting to see that the unbalanced distribution of food, resources, and even opportunities to receive the gospel message is a result of nations that have not sharing with those which have not. And just knowing that millions will be swept away into the eternal fire and are currently living below their God-given potentials because of our passive inaction calls for urgent re-prioritization and rethinking of what it truly means to be disciples of Jesus.

Hi Cameron,
I just finished reading this and I must say it is very well written. I especially like when you say "we are blessed to be a blessing." Our Pastor just spoke that again in our church on Sunday. Sharing the blessings of God was definitely not just for our own church. Being the "hands and feet" of Jesus is for all of us everywhere.
Thank you for taking the time to write this!

Hi Scth, the team leaders will only be finalised by the second week of June, after the registration is closed as we need to look at each team dynamics and allocate our "human resources" accordingly. Thereafter, the team will have sufficient time to connect and make preparations for the trips. If you have any questions regarding the trip, feel free to contact us.

Hope this answers your question.

Good article; I agree. A strong case can be made for BOTH supporting national Gospel workers and for sending cross-cultural mission workers. We're ALL called to be salt and light - in our local, regional, national, and distant places.
