About Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is an island nation rich in resources but beset with many natural disasters. The 2004 tsunami devastated the country. Many lives were lost and infrastructures were destroyed. After the tsunami, Cornerstone collected aids and funds from the church and community to support the ongoing humanitarian work. Mission teams from Singapore were sent to support the humanitarian efforts for several weeks. Then in 2005, Esther Yeo was sent out as a full-time missionary by Cornerstone for two years to Colombo.
Cornerstone’s primary involvement in Sir Lanka is through Jerusalem Prayer Centre. Today, it is still continuing its support for humanitarian efforts in Sri Lanka. In 2009, Cornerstone sponsored 60 households and 33 orphans. Cornerstone also holds a yearly English camp for children during their summer vacation.

Associate Work: Jerusalem Prayer Centre
The church started more than ten years ago, n ot as a church but as a prayer me eting. As visitors started attending the meetings, many people were born again and God led the members to start a church. The church currently has 135 people attend its morning service (held in Tamil and Singhalese), while about 30 attend the evening English service. They also have a daughter church in Nallantane that has about 150 people.
Leadership: Angela Lamb is the president of Jerusalem Prayer Centre. She has been serving God in the ministry for more than 20 years. Sister Angela has a strong intercessory and prophetic gifting and is being used as a leader in prayer for her nation.
Prayer Focus:
- For wisdom and grace for Sister Angela that she may see in clarity the blueprint the Lord has for the church.
- For an enlargement of vision that the church will not be limited by the human mind.
- The promise of Isaiah 58:11-12 comes to pass and the work will be used to bring great restoration.
- Many members of the Sri Lankan church will be called out as the Bride of Christ.
